The first week of September is Disaster Prevention Week, so our school conducted a schoolwide earthquake drill for all students and staff. When the emergency alarm sounded, students responded quickly and calmly by getting under their desks and protecting their heads. Following our key safety rule, “OHASHIMO” (Oshanai – Don’t push, Hashiranai – Don’t run, Shaberanai – Don’t talk, Modoranai – Don’t go back), all students evacuated promptly and safely.
At MIS student safety is our top priority. We will continue to raise safety awareness through opportunities like Disaster Prevention Week to ensure our school community knows how to respond calmly and confidently in an emergency.
